BATH — Combined festivities celebrating Bath’s AutumnFest and Community Involvement Day promise to offer myriad Saturday attractions in the City of Ships.

Many of the activities take place on — or within walking distance of — Front Street, recently named one of the nation’s 10 “Great Streets” by the American Planning Association.

In addition to Saturday’s Citizen Involvement Day awards ceremony, which honors the “Citizen of the Year” and “Youth of the Year” among others, the event will include scarecrow making on the Customs House lawn and window painting on downtown storefronts.

Downtown shops will offer special sales throughout the day.

The following is a list of some of the attractions planned for the AutumnFest celebration:

— 8:30 a.m. to noon: The last outdoor farmers market of the season at Waterfront Park.

— 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.: Open house at Halcyon Yarn, featuring demonstrations of felting, spinning, weaving, crochet and rug-making.

— 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Live music by “The Rain Men,” featuring award-winning Brunswick songwriter and guitarist Jud Caswell and percussionist Rob Duquette. The performance will take place at Waterfront Park.

— 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Scarecrow making on the Customs House lawn and window painting on downtown storefronts.

— 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Sausage barbecue to benefit the Bath Youth Meetinghouse and Skatepark, held outside City Hall.

— 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Kids’ tree climbing, held by the Bath Community Forestry Committee at Waterfront Park.

— 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Harlem Superstar and basketball trickster Jason Gibbons performs at Waterfront Park and talks to kids about believing in themselves.

— 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Fire truck rides starting at City Hall, sponsored by the Box 19 Club.

— 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.: Downtown scavenger hunt. Forms are available at participating downtown merchants or online at www.visitbath.com. Find the listed items and enter to win a $50 “Gift of Bath” gift certificate.

— 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.: “Made in Maine” crafts show in the Brackett’s Market parking lot.

— 10:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.: “Story time for All Ages,” with guest reader Mary Jane Sullivan at Patten Free Library.

— Noon: Community Involvement Day awards ceremony, at Waterfront Park.

— 1 p.m.: Popular local aerobic dance instructor Tony Zumba leads exercise to Latin music at Waterfront Park.

— 2 p.m.: The Public Safety Pipe and Drum Corps, marching from Brackett’s Market to Byrnes’ Irish Pub.
